BioBusiness
is working to design, manufacture and commercialize two products in the medical
field, the Non-invasive Blood Glucose Monitors and the Vital Signs Monitors.
The first product-line is a new Non-invasive Blood Glucose Monitoring System
that allows frequent and easy ways to continuously measure and monitor the blood
glucose levels of diabetic patients, in a totally non-invasive way, without the
need to prick the finer or implant sensors.
The second product-line is the Vital Signs Monitors. Vital Signs Monitors
are a crucial piece of equipment in the healthcare facilities. They are used to
continuously monitor the patients' vital signs and state of health during intensive
care and operations.
Vital Signs Monitoring Systems
A Vital Signs Monitor is a medical device capable of continuously measuring and
monitoring the vital signs of patients. This device is of utmost importance in Intensive
Care Units (ICUs), Cardiac Care Units (CCUs) and Operating Rooms (ORs). This device
is commonly known as a Patient Monitor. The device is capable of measuring patients'
vital parameters such as electrocardiograph (ECG), non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP),
oxygen saturation (SpO2), and skin/core temperature. An extended version allows
to measure more parameters such as Invasive Blood Pressure (IBP) and Carbon Dioxide
(CO2). Also, for anesthesia machines, a multi-gas unit could be attached to measure
the partial pressure of anesthesia gases. This multi-gas unit could be purchased
as a stand-alone product as well.
A competitive edge for our product is the localization. Our device is the first
fully Arabized patient monitor worldwide. The device is capable of instantly switching
from English to Arabic and vice versa by a single click of a button.
Another edge for our patient monitor is the ability to function as a complete low-cost
integrated health station. This feature is very suitable for small clinics where
the purchase of discrete nonintegrated health monitoring systems is a large overhead.
This same station could also be used in hospitals and attached to the hospital backbone
network to collect readings of vital signal from patients and stream them to a central
monitoring station.
We have added many more innovative IT features such as Voiced Alarms, SMS/E-mail
notifications, and automated logging of arrhythmia events. In addition to such innovative
features, we maintain a unique edge in the local market in Egypt by providing prompt
and reliable maintenance, including the possibility of on-site maintenance of devices.
The unique after-sale service offered by BioBusiness is a key win.
